Friends, I’m wrapping up a week of cancer treatment, and I wasn’t able to prepare a post that would meet the quality expectations I have for myself. Rather than post something that I wasn’t totally invested in or ghost the blog, I wanted to at least check in with this update.
If you’ve been following along with our parsha posts, you can watch my video summary from this week here.
I am planning to conduct the asynchronous, virtual book study with AJ Levine’s new text on John. Go at your own pace, with some gentle guidance from me. We’ll get started the week of October 14. Sign up here.
I am committed to the book study, and we’ll see where this writing project evolves from there. I am considering new platforms and formats. I’ve struggled to grow here after exhausting the limited promotional channels I have at my disposal. There’s a case to be made for persistence, but there is also wisdom in changing course.
At the end of the day, I do feel like I have something to offer in the broad space of Jewish-Christian relations and Jewish Studies, but the unspoken feedback I’m receiving from readership and traffic is that this blog may not be it.
It’d be great to see some more sign ups for the book study so that whatever happens in the future, we give ourselves a more intentional focus on building community.
Shalom. Salaam. Peace. xx. ❤ -a.
