More on Itineraries, Politics, and Language
Book readers, my sincere apologies for being a day late on our introductory video to chapter 2! We’ve had a few things come up around here, including my spouse fractured her foot! Between her non-weight-bearing status and a dear friends wedding weekend, I fell behind on my preparation last week. Thanks for understanding!
In this chapter we continue building on the politics of Rome, and we continue to see how the synoptic accounts (the gospels according to Mark, Matthew, and Luke) and the fourth gospel (the gospel according to John) present variations on shared themes. We also pay attention to the original languages (mainly, Greek and Hebrew) and how translation influences our understanding. Watch my intro video for the second chapter, and I’ll release the chat prompt tomorrow morning!
